My American Journey

I love traveling and road-tripping and visiting new places and going to new events! So for a long time now it's been one of my goals to visit every state in the US and experience something special or unique about that place. So I've compiled a list of the things I want to do in every state in the USA! When I complete something, I'll cross it off and link a post about my adventure beside it.

THIS LIST IS NOT FINISHED!! If you live in a different state than me and there is something I absolutely have to do in your state, please leave a comment and give me more ideas!!! I'd love to hear about them! And if you want to know what to do in Utah... well... I'd have to ask someone else first and then give you an answer! (I'm not saying there isn't anything to do here, I'm just saying I haven't done anything, if you haven't noticed, I haven't crossed off Utah on my list and I've been living here for over twenty years, but I do have a list of over 100 things to do in Cache Valley HERE)

Freak Out

I had a freak out today. Chris is gone and it's my annual sleepover night with Lauren, but I don't get a sleepover tonight. Well technically I get one with Ericka, but it's not the same in any way. Something's wrong. I'm thinking too much about the decisions I'm making and where I'm going in life. I'm super stressed and I feel so alone right now...

So today, I danced.

I grabbed my laptop and headed to the HPER building on campus. I went into the dance studio and warmed up at the barre. Oh how wonderful it felt to do barre exercises again! Then I went out on the floor, practice a couple turns, then leaps, then a worker came in and told me they were closing. I had only been able to dance for a little while, but I did it. And it felt wonderful. I felt free, I felt good, I didn't feel stressed anymore. I was flying! I need to dance more.

Wedding Planner

Hey ya'all! I just wanted to share with you a wedding planning binder that I found on Pinterest through a friend. This is really helpful and I think you'll all love it as much as I do. :)

I love it because she explains the most important points of her wedding planner and lists out what you need for one of your own. And her ring is gorgeous! So the link's above and here's some pictures to get you more interested! Enjoy!

Week of Boring Frustration

So it's Sunday night. Michelle and Nick drove me back to Logan and now I'm sitting on my bed, alone in my apartment, writing on this blog. It's a weird week. Tomorrow I have to go into work and quit my job. Crazy. I've been working there for three years now. As much as I hate custodial work, I'm going to miss this job because of all the fun and all the friendships I've made. It's really starting to sink in that I'm moving away from Logan. People are finding out and it's really hitting me. This move is going to be really hard.

Christopher is gone for the week. He's in New York, currently. He's off on a crazy adventure with his family and I am beyond jealous! I want to go to New York so badly! Tomorrow he's visiting Central Park and the Empire State Building, living my dream. Yesterday he went on a church history tour, and the day before that he went to Niagra Falls (one of my goal places). I can't believe he would leave me in Logan while he's adventuring! I can't believe I'm stuck in Logan in the first place. Because I spend all my time with Chris, it's been hard to make new friends this summer. So now, while I'm here this week with no car and no Chris, I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with my life.

I need a car. I am going to buy a car. It's becoming more of a necessity.

I get Tuesday off of work for Pioneer Day, one of my favorite holidays. Lauren and I would always sleep downtown for the parade, but we aren't doing that this year. What's more, I'm stuck in Logan. What on earth am I supposed to do here with no car and no friends? I hate this week.

.... But at the same time I don't. We leave for Jackson on Friday and I am so excited!! Jackson is always the best part of the summer and this year Christopher might be able to come up for a couple of days. How wonderful is sharing my favorite place with the love of my life? Super wonderful!

My Week in Photos: July 14th -July 22nd

So I'm starting my week of photos with last Saturday (please forgive me).

Saturday: So we went to a Scottish Festival in Payson, Utah. So much fun!! Christopher is wearing his kilt that he got on his mission in Scotland, and I'm wearing the shirt that I bought at the festival. We're drinking root beer, not anything alcoholic (don't you worry, he takes care of me).

Nick and I loved our awesome root beer bottles!

Michelle is the one who told us about the festival. Siblings got to reunite!!

And then we drove back to Logan so Christopher could go to work. :( I really love this picture. :)

So skip to Friday.... We went fluming. So basically the river that Christopher is walking by goes through this aqueduct thing over the road. If you go in the river, the current takes you straight down the tube thing (it's not really a tube, it's open on top). It was tons of fun, and technically illegal... :)

The cows watched us breaking the law.

On the drive back we saw a dairy farm with cute little calves.

Saturday, my mom picked me up in Logan and took me back home so we could go to the Days of 47 Rodeo! It was lots of fun having a girl's night. I love my mom and sister!

The Farm played after the rodeo. They were awesome! "Ain't no party like a farm party cause a farm party don't stop!" ha ha ha!

And what week isn't complete without a lightsaber battle? :) I was staring at my face in the bathroom mirror as this picture was being taken. It was so hard not to laugh at myself. :)

New Blog!

So yes, I deleted my old blog. Although it hardly makes a difference because no one knew about it. But I'm excited to get this one going. It's just all about me, so my family and friends can keep up with what's going on in my life. :)

Red Head

I think that red hair is beautiful! So like how I did with brunette hair, I'm going to post some photos of hairstyles, specifically with red hair. Enjoy!

And again, if you're in the Orem area, please check out my cousin: . She's excellent with hair and he do anything you want. She also does waxing and tanning.
